Introduction

Revelio Labs uses AI technology and research methods to study and understand the raw human capital data present in millions of job postings, resumes, online profiles, reports and converts this data into structured information representing unique insights and trends. By providing an in-depth view of the workforce in companies across the globe, Revelio aims to enable informed decision making for investors, venture capitalists, and strategists. According to the founders of Revelio Labs, ‘what Bloomberg has done to capital markets, Revelio aims to do that to the labor market’.

The Product

Revelio believes that not only are human capital metrics and financial outcomes of a company closely correlated, but an understanding of employee dynamics can lead to an in-depth understanding of all aspects of the company. They use a proprietary machine learning algorithm that groups similar roles into clusters and by virtue of this grouping, they enable meaningful comparison of these metrics across companies and industries.

Revelio’s overall product offering has three flavors – corporate profiling, advanced analytics, and research reports. Each of these offerings is based on datasets derived from an in-depth understanding of the talent make-up of several companies. The talent make-up is represented via a multitude of metrics like headcounts, hiring and attrition rates, and role distribution segmented by skill, seniority, geography, education, and other factors. These datasets can be accessed via their web interface, delivered via data delivery tools like Crux or can be downloaded in bulk.

On their web interface, Revelio has enabled an extremely flexible and easy to use customization and reporting tool over their datasets. Users can choose the roles and metrics they want to compare for their specific companies of interest and further segment them based on metrics like geography and seniority levels. Revelio also uses its own datasets to identify trends and patterns within and across industries and publish these insights via research reports available on their website.
