The Product

Gato follows an entirely vegan and cruelty-free recipe for all their products. Flour, eggs, sugar, and butter are replaced with oats, almonds, aquafaba, vegetables, and nut butter to make the products vegan and gluten-free.

Their decadent dessert range includes salted caramel and chocolate ganache, salted caramel hot sticky toffee, molten chocolate fondant, and coconut brownie. Origin and Founding Team

Founders Charlotte Dauzat and Kim Lamza were fed up with healthy and gluten-free desserts that were lacking flavor and failed to satiate their cravings. Charlotte grew up on her family’s fruit and vegetable farm in Provenance and developed a massive love for all things sweet. Inspired by her experience studying patisserie at the renowned Cordon Bleu cookery school, Charlotte wanted to create delicious healthy puddings. On the other hand, Kim’s mother, a dietician, taught her how to treat herself every day without affecting her gut health. Charlotte’s experience and Kim’s expertise helped turn Gato’s philosophy into reality.

Derived from the French word “Gateau,” meaning cake, they coined the term Gato to offer desserts with a twist. By combining the best of plant-based and healthy options, Gato has risen to be a trusted and loved brand among UK dessert-lovers.
