More Info

Banner blindness is a problem, 86% of US consumers ignore advertisements. For the past 17 years, Dave Zinman, CEO of Infolinks, has helped keep the Internet free of charge for consumers. The only way this model works, however, is with advertising. Now it’s one thing for someone from the digital advertising industry to care about banner blindness. HOW E-COMMERCE HAS ERODED MAJOR RETAILERS

More Info

The evolution of retail is a prominent industry trend that has generated a lot of buzz as e-commerce gives traditional retailers a run for their money. Several key players like Warby Parker, BaubleBar, Julep, Deal Decor, Poppin and many others have successfully built their businesses on platforms that totally eliminate the middleman and go right to the manufacturers. The result is cheaper consumer products and higher profit margins for companies. Is this the future of all premium brands? Michael can look at the effect this has had on retailers – has it made them stronger? as well as how sites such as Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram are shaping shopping trends, and why Wall Street understands e-commerce better than any social platform. Additionally, he can discuss the key approach and principles required in creating niche e-commerce destinations to fulfill growing customer needs, why the future of premium brands will bypass the middleman and the future of the e-retail space.

DESIGNING FOR FRICTIONLESS COMMUNITIES

More Info

The need to connect is a basic human survival instinct. Your users are people, and people will always seek to connect with each other. Your users, your people, have a shared interest and they want to form shared experiences. Give your people an easy way to connect with each other, not at each other and let human interaction handle the rest. Users will pay handsomely for being a facilitator, so make sure it’s your company that’s getting credit, not someone else’s. Build a tight and thorough online community, or someone else will.
