I will never understand why they decided to alienate so many disk rental customers. Personally I jumped ship with the price increase and signed up for the Blockbuster Movie Pass. DISH has a ton of leverage when it comes to securing content for streaming and they already have a great DVD, Blu-ray and video game rental service. It may have been a slow start but the Blockbuster service has really taken off, DISH is already adding additional content from Lionsgate and Univision. At $10 per month for rentals and streaming Blockbuster has a very competitive rate that will continue to dig in to Netflix’s customer base. Coworkers here at DISH tell me that they sign new customers up all the time, especially because they have an extended free trial offer. The heydays of Netflix and their huge customer base seem to be over. It is going to be increasingly difficult for Netflix to
