Techweek is a venture-capital backed technology festival and media company operating in eight markets throughout North America. We believe in spreading tech entrepreneurship to build a better world by convening local ecosystems. To do this our festivals are community driven celebrating the tech leaders, highlighting the latest products, and following the most relevant trends.

The executive team is searching for a seasoned individual with a background in sales. The Director of Strategic Partnerships would be tasked with identifying corporate partners, conducting outbound reach outs, build sales proposal, manage client relationships and coordinate with the operations team to ensure successful delivery of client vision and Techweek product execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop/pitch sponsorship packages designed to meet clients’ needs of brand representation
  • Cultivate relationships with current and prospective sponsors
  • Serve as the key client contact and own client service relationships for multiple accounts
  • Research and build contact lists of business decision makers and leading companies in technology or doing business with technology
  • Explore and help develop new markets
  • Develop and implement customer acquisition and retention strategies to include lead generation
  • Own and establish relationships with key stakeholders
  • Lead meetings, including at a team level, and develop future plans for the company across all departments
  • Manage customer databases and mailing lists
  • Conduct market research as necessary to understand and leverage market trends for company brands
  • Provide analytical support and project management for a variety of organizational initiatives
  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time
General Requirements

  • Exceptional analytical skills with ROI mentality
  • Experience with Salesforce and PowerPoint is a plus
  • 5-10 years of experience in a sales or business development role
  • Strong sales track record
  • Proven track record of client skills
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Open to pre-MBA and post-MBA
  • Management experience is preferred, but not required
